I've Been Blessed

One girl's mother had volunteered her services to help me with mulching this summer. I told her to get some other girls to come along and we will make it a party. At 7:30 this morning, these five girls showed up to help me finish the edging along the drive.

The first part of the job was getting rid of the grass between the edging and the drive. We had to use shovels to dig it loose and then knock the dirt from the clumps of grass. We filled the garden cart about five or six times with grass and dumped it in a hole down by the fence at the back of the property.

One of the girls loved to drive the garden tractor to do the mulching. She was better at backing the trailer than I am although she had never driven it before. They did a nice job of mulching.

After we had the work finished, we went to Mohnton Navy Yard for pizza. They have a wood burning oven for making their pizza and some awesome pizza. We had two large pizzas. The girls were hungry after all the hard work they had done in the morning.

I am extremely grateful for their help. It is quite a privilege to have students who are willing to come in the summer and help with some work around here. I have been blessed.

Galatians 4:27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

The benefits of having quint girls without the work of raising them! :-)
